Jamaica Burke joined the Hope Ignites Colorado Board of Directors in the Spring of 2025.

What do you do outside of the Hope Ignites Colorado Board?

I am an audit partner in the KPMG-Denver asset management practice and am currently on a three-year rotation to our national office.  I have two teenagers (one in college, one in high school) that keep me busy, and I love the outdoors (hiking, mountain biking, skiing, paddleboarding, etc).

What is a fun fact you can share about yourself?
I love to travel and am an avid scuba diver.

If you could share one piece of advice with scholars, what would it be?
All scholars should fully understand the economics of the college degree by investigating expected costs to attend school, becoming informed about college loans and necessary repayment plans, and calculating expected salaries upon graduation to make sure it truly makes financial sense to pursuit the current path.

What do you hope to achieve with the scholars?
I’m looking forward to providing advice, getting to know various scholars, and helping scholars make informed decisions.

Why did you become involved with Hope Ignites Colorado?
A colleague introduced me to Hope Ignites Colorado and I believe strongly in the goals and missions of the organization.
