Throughout the month of June, Hope Ignites scholars have been engaged in a number of activities that have them out and about even more than usual! Summer is the perfect time for these in-depth interactive opportunities that can be difficult to schedule during the regular academic year due to our scholars’ classroom and extracurricular commitments.
SSA Group
In early June, Hope Ignites Scholars visited the office of SSA Group. They toured the building, spoke with Hope Ignites Board Member Jason Stover and other SSA team members to learn about the work that the SSA Group does across the country, and learned about the variety of ways SSA has partnered with Hope Ignites scholars and collegians including job and internship opportunities!
Comcast
Scholars visited the local Comcast studio and offices. They toured the studio and behind the scenes and learned about different career paths within the company at an in-house panel. Their visit was even featured on Telemundo Colorado!

Medtronics
Scholars visited Medtronics who hosted a career panel for scholars to ask their team members questions about their roles and career paths. In addition to the panel, scholars enjoyed a facility tour which included a demonstration in their Hugo Lab!
